Past Performances/Workshops
Princesses and Peacocks
The video below contains excerpts from Princesses and Peacocks, Charya’s full-length production of original works combined with dances from the classical repertory, performed at the Merlot Theatre in the Wells Fargo Center for the Performing Arts in Santa Rosa, California, with support from The Alliance for California Traditional Arts’ Living Culture Grant Program.
Charya Reflects on Performing
“When I perform I strive for perfection. However, no performance is ever perfect. Every mistake I make is one I try to learn from. But there are those moments when everything is perfect. It is during those pure moments when I feel most spiritual. I become lost in the moment, floating on stage, just me and the light that surrounds me.”
