Blossoming Antiquities: Rodin’s Encounter with the Celestial Dancers of Cambodia created with support from The Creative Work Fund

Charya Burt created Blossoming Antiquities in partnership with World Arts West with the support of the Creative Work Fund collaborating with her long-time composer Alexis Alrich with video design by Olivia Ting and live painting by noted artist, Mario Uribe. Both traditional Khmer performance and personal response to drawings and sketches made by 19th-century French artist Auguste Rodin, Blossoming Antiquities is part of a creative dialogue between artists and epochs: where ancient Cambodia meets 1800’s Europe meets contemporary America; and dance meets music meets visual art.
